UK: Street children bat for their rights at cricket tournament
Dozens of children from around the world took part in the first ever Street Child Cricket World Cup in London on Tuesday.
A total of 10 teams representing their countries played in Tuesday's tournament with India South running out victors in the final against Bangladesh.
The event took place ahead of this year's ICC Cricket World Cup hosted in England and Wales.
Organisers said the tournament was aimed at raising awareness and changing perceptions of street-dwelling children.
The UN estimates there are up to 150 million street children in the world. The event organisers said instead of receiving support, those young people are often blamed for their situation and stigmatised.
